Shinedown members1/3/2024 Their influences may actually surprise you. While you wait, here’s five things you didn’t know about Shinedown. They’re bringing Godsmack with them, so it’s bound to be a kick*ss concert, most definitely one of the summer’s hottest rock ‘n’ roll tours. Shinedown will also be going on the road soon, beginning March 23 in South Dakota, so look for them at a venue near you. The story unfolds with the album’s progression, offering a look into the powerful and enduring resolve of human nature to overcome obstacles while learning the important things in life, such as giving others respect and leaning on one another in times of need. The fourteen track album is said to be the band’s most personal and raw ever, following an individual’s journey through life’s highs and lows, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Shinedown’s sixth album, entitled Attention Attention, is already available for pre-order. If you’re watching for their next release, is the date. In fact, they are third on the list of most number one singles for a band, behind the legendary Van Halen and Three Days Grace. The band has sold more than ten million records around the world and has had eleven singles reigning in at number one. The band admits that each album has subtle differences in sound, but that it’s intentional and that it’s all in the name of rock. Shinedown’s music, according to themselves is “rock ‘n’ roll”, but they’ve also been described as hard rock, alternative metal/rock, and post grunge. Smith and Kerch are original members, as were Jasin Todd and Brad Stewart, although they’re no longer with the band. After a bit of trial and error, the band settled in with members Smith, Barry Kerch on drums, Zach Myers on guitar, and Eric Bass, as luck would have it, on bass. The band was formed by lead vocalist Brent Smith in 2001. On January 26, 2022, Shinedown released its lead single, ‘Planet Zero.’ Although the album was expected to be released on April 12, 2022, it will come out on July 1, 2022, per new announcements. An American rock band, Shinedown hails from Jacksonville, Florida. In February 2021, Smith announced working on a seventh studio album. It wasn’t easy to make those changes, and many people were like, ‘This band is over, this band is done.’ We could have failed, but that’s what made this band what it is today.” That’s when we got Zach Myers and Eric Bass in. “Before the third album, ‘The Sound Of Madness,’ we knew we needed to make some really hard decisions and change a couple of members. In the interview with Metal Hammer, Brent Smith said the following: He stated that making those changes wasn’t easy, and many thought Shinedown was over, but this decision made the band what it is today. Speaking to Metal Hammer, Brent Smith remembered the time he made this tough decision of firing Stewart and Todd. Throughout 2007, Smith focused on writing new material and recruited several studio musicians to record ‘The Sound Of Madness.’ The album came out on June 24, 2008, and Smith recruited Eric Bass while the touring guitarist Zach Myers became a permanent member. Stewart was fired due to disagreement with the creative direction of Shinedown, while Todd departed as a result of significant personal and drug-related issues with Smith. During the recordings of ‘The Sound Of Madness,’ Smith fired both Stewart and Todd.
